I'm beginning to get the hang of it, not as neat as i want it to be yet though, but practice makes perfect :)

dirty rotten cheater
So here's one of my drawings from my sketchbook for my current project, which I've based on domestic life. Not sure if I like it, but it could work if it's produced digitally :)
Also my two friends from back home are coming to Leeds today for the weekend, going to nandos for the first time ever ha.

Excitement! Myself and my boyfriend may have just landed ourselves a little job through the summer; screen printing for a lady who is starting up a business, not getting any hopes up though until everything is final. It would be pretty good though, getting paid for something we actually like to do. Fingers crossed.
I'm going to get on with some sketchbook work and try and devise a questionnaire to hand out to couples so i can get to know the nitty gritty details of their relationships.

a few bits and bobs...
I found a few photos of drawings from my artist book project and a random print i did of a bear which i intend to print onto some tote bags to sell when i eventually have some spare time, there's also some photos of jewellery i made during my elective before easter.
So i did a jewellery elective before easter at uni and i actually quite enjoyed it even though it involved me using proper tools like a saw haha. Anyways i took a different route and decided to try and bring a bit of textiles into it so i ended up knitting copper wire and also using a bit of string too, i based my whole idea on fishing nets. I'm quite happy with the outcome, the ring being my favourite, and the only piece i'd probably wear.

something i'd like to share...
This is my wonderful throw that i bought a year ago or thereabouts from a charity shop in whitley bay after having one of my tattoos done... amazing.
Oh and here is a very very quick sketch i did.

So today i've been doing a bit of drawing for my fmp for first year, it's based on couples and i'm going to construct a survey that couples can fill in about one another and about the little things they bicker about. Firstly i've just been drawing some couples in my sketchbook i'm trying some different drawing styles because i figure if i try as many as possibly i may eventually find one i'm truly comfortable with, so far i'm pretty happy with my little doodles.

It's funny how much your work can change over the course of a few years, my work style has changed with every project i have done recently ha.
Having just only handed my last project in for marking and unfortunately i haven't taken any photos of it as well as only just starting my final project for 1st year i am unable to post any photos of my own work so i thought i'd post some artists/illustrators work that truly inspire me. Some people are just wonderful!
Keren Taggar whose work can be found on her website http://www.kerentaggar.com/
Her work is absolutely beautiful I love how she combines subtle hints of colour and the use of different papers with her pencil drawings.
Sarah McNeil whose etsy shop you can find here http://www.etsy.com/shop/SarahMcNeil The intricate and delicate drawings she does are beautiful as well as cute I basically just love them!
